VEB Verlag
VEB Verlag was a state-owned publishing house in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR), established in the early 1950s. It played a significant role in the production and distribution of literature, educational materials, and other printed works, focusing on socialist themes and ideologies.
The publishing house was part of the VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb) system, which meant it was owned and operated by the state. After the reunification of Germany in 1990, VEB Verlag faced challenges due to the shift in the publishing landscape and the decline of state-controlled media.
