Uzziah
Uzziah, also known as Azariah, was a king of Judah who reigned for about 52 years during the 8th century BCE. He became king at a young age and is noted for his military successes and efforts to strengthen the kingdom. Uzziah expanded Judah's territory and fortified cities, contributing to a period of prosperity.
Despite his achievements, Uzziah's reign ended in tragedy when he attempted to burn incense in the Temple of Jerusalem, an act reserved for priests. This led to a confrontation with the high priest, resulting in Uzziah being struck with leprosy, which forced him to live in isolation until his death.
