Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy
Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a prominent Indian freedom fighter known for his role in the rebellion against British colonial rule in the late 19th century. He is often regarded as one of the first leaders to challenge British authority in the region of Telangana. His efforts inspired many others to join the struggle for independence.
Born in 1806 in Kurnool, Narasimha Reddy was a local chieftain who led a significant uprising in 1846, known as the Rani of Jhansi rebellion. His revolt was marked by fierce resistance against oppressive policies imposed by the British, making him a symbol of courage and resistance in Indian history.
