University of Texas-Pan American
The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) was a public university located in Edinburg, Texas. Established in 1927, it became part of the University of Texas System in 1989. UTPA offered a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various fields, including business, education, and health sciences.
In 2015, UTPA merged with University of Texas at Brownsville to form the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). This merger aimed to enhance educational opportunities and resources for students in the Rio Grande Valley region. UTRGV continues to serve the community with a focus on academic excellence and research.
