United States of America Mathematical Olympiad
The United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) is a prestigious mathematics competition for high school students in the United States. It serves as a qualifying event for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), where top young mathematicians from around the world compete. The USAMO typically consists of challenging problems that test students' problem-solving skills and mathematical creativity.
Participants in the USAMO are selected based on their performance in the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). The competition is held annually, and students work individually to solve a series of complex problems within a limited time frame.
