United States Central Command
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) is a major unified command of the U.S. Department of Defense. Established in 1983, it is responsible for military operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of South Asia. CENTCOM's primary mission is to promote stability and security in its area of responsibility through military readiness and cooperation with allied nations.
CENTCOM plays a crucial role in coordinating U.S. military efforts, including counterterrorism operations and humanitarian assistance. It works closely with other branches of the military and international partners to address regional challenges and support U.S. foreign policy objectives.
