United South and Eastern Tribes
The United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) is an intertribal organization that represents the interests of various Native American tribes in the southeastern United States. Founded in 1969, USET aims to promote the welfare of its member tribes through advocacy, education, and collaboration with federal and state governments.
USET includes tribes from states such as Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The organization focuses on issues like economic development, health care, and cultural preservation, ensuring that the voices of its member tribes are heard in policy discussions and decision-making processes.
