United Nations Member States
The United Nations (UN) is an international organization founded in 1945, currently consisting of 193 member states. These member states work together to promote peace, security, and cooperation among nations. Each member has equal representation in the UN General Assembly, where they discuss global issues and make decisions on international policies.
Member states are required to adhere to the principles outlined in the UN Charter, which emphasizes respect for human rights, the rule of law, and the promotion of social and economic development. The UN provides a platform for countries to collaborate on various challenges, including climate change, poverty, and conflict resolution.
