Unified Progressive Party
The Unified Progressive Party (UPP) was a political party in South Korea that aimed to represent progressive values and advocate for social justice, economic equality, and peace on the Korean Peninsula. Founded in 2011, the party emerged from a merger of several left-leaning groups and sought to challenge the dominant conservative parties in the country.
The UPP gained attention for its focus on issues such as labor rights, environmental protection, and reforming the political system. However, it faced challenges, including internal divisions and controversies, which ultimately led to its dissolution in 2014.
