Ukrainian Administrative Divisions
Ukrainian administrative divisions are organized into several levels, primarily consisting of oblasts (regions) and raions (districts). There are 24 oblasts, one autonomous republic called Crimea, and two cities with special status: Kyiv and Sevastopol. Each oblast is further divided into raions, which help manage local governance and services.
The administrative structure allows for effective local administration and governance. Each oblast has its own local government, while raions serve as subdivisions to facilitate regional management. This system helps ensure that the diverse needs of Ukraine's population are met across different areas.
