Uganda Wildlife Authority
The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is a government agency responsible for the conservation and management of Uganda's wildlife and protected areas. Established in 1996, UWA aims to protect the country's diverse ecosystems, including national parks and game reserves, while promoting sustainable tourism and community involvement.
UWA oversees various activities, such as wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and anti-poaching efforts. It also works to educate the public about the importance of wildlife conservation and collaborates with local communities to ensure that they benefit from the natural resources surrounding them.
