The USS Tusk (SS-426) was a United States Navy submarine launched on March 4, 1945. It was a Tench-class submarine, designed for anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance missions during the Cold War. The Tusk was equipped with advanced sonar and torpedo systems, allowing it to operate effectively in various underwater environments.
After serving in the Navy, the USS Tusk was decommissioned in 1980 and later became a museum ship. It is now located at the Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts, where visitors can explore its interior and learn about submarine operations and naval history.
