USS Sea Lion
The USS Sea Lion (SS-315) was a United States Navy submarine that served during World War II. Launched on 15 March 1944, it was part of the Gato-class submarines, designed for long-range missions. The Sea Lion conducted several successful patrols in the Pacific Theater, targeting enemy shipping and contributing to the war effort.
After the war, the USS Sea Lion was decommissioned in 1946 and later sold for scrap in 1971. Throughout its service, the submarine earned multiple battle stars for its contributions, reflecting the vital role of submarines in naval warfare during the conflict.
