USS Saratoga (CV-3)
The USS Saratoga (CV-3) was an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1927. It was the second ship in the Saratoga class and played a significant role in naval aviation during World War II. The carrier was designed to support air operations and could carry a large number of aircraft, making it a vital asset in naval battles.
Throughout its service, the USS Saratoga participated in numerous campaigns in the Pacific Theater, including the Battle of Midway and the Battle of Guadalcanal. After the war, it was decommissioned in 1946 and later used for nuclear testing before being sunk in 1946.
