USS S-2
The USS S-2 was a United States Navy submarine, part of the S-class fleet, launched on March 1, 1920. Designed for coastal defense and reconnaissance, it was equipped with torpedoes and had a displacement of around 1,000 tons when submerged. The submarine was primarily used during the interwar period and World War II, serving in various training and patrol roles.
After its service, the USS S-2 was decommissioned on June 30, 1945. It was later sold for scrap in 1946. The S-class submarines, including the USS S-2, played a significant role in the development of submarine technology during their time.
