USS Pompano (SS-181) History
The USS Pompano (SS-181) was a United States Navy submarine commissioned in 1943. It was part of the Gato-class submarines and played a significant role during World War II. The Pompano conducted several successful patrols in the Pacific Theater, targeting enemy shipping and military installations.
