USS Pompano
The USS Pompano (SS-181) was a United States Navy submarine that served during World War II. Launched on 8 April 1943, she was part of the Gato-class submarines, designed for long-range missions. The Pompano was known for her stealth and effectiveness in combat, completing several successful patrols in the Pacific Theater.
