USS Missouri (BB-63)
The USS Missouri (BB-63) is a battleship of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1944. It is one of the last battleships built by the U.S. and served during World War II, the Korean War, and the Gulf War. The ship is famous for being the site of the formal surrender of Japan on September 2, 1945, which marked the end of World War II.
After its decommissioning in 1992, the USS Missouri was preserved as a museum ship and is now located at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is part of the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark and serves as a memorial to those who served in the U.S. Navy.
