USS Iowa
The USS Iowa (BB-61) is a battleship of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1943. It was the lead ship of its class and played a significant role during World War II, participating in major naval battles in the Pacific Theater. The ship was designed for speed and firepower, featuring nine 16-inch guns and advanced radar systems for its time.
After its active service, the USS Iowa was decommissioned in 1990 and later became a museum ship in Los Angeles, California. It is now part of the Pacific Battleship Center, where visitors can explore its history and learn about naval warfare.
