USS Juneau
The USS Juneau (CL-52) was a {Cleveland-class light cruiser} of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1943. It played a significant role during World War II, participating in several key battles in the Pacific Theater, including the Battle of Guadalcanal and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
Tragically, the USS Juneau was sunk on November 13, 1942, during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. The ship was hit by torpedoes from a Japanese submarine, resulting in the loss of over 600 crew members, including the five {Sullivan brothers}, who were serving together on the ship.
