USS Haverfield (DE-393)
The USS Haverfield (DE-393) was a Buckley-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy, launched on 1 April 1944. It was named after Lieutenant Commander William Haverfield, who served in World War II. The ship was designed to provide anti-submarine warfare support and escort duties during the latter part of World War II.
Commissioned on 30 June 1944, the USS Haverfield served in the Pacific Theater, participating in various operations until the end of the war. After the war, the ship was decommissioned on 15 June 1946 and later sold for scrapping in 1972.
