USS Callaghan (DD-792)
The USS Callaghan (DD-792) was a Gearing-class destroyer of the United States Navy, launched on March 26, 1945. It was named after Admiral Daniel Callaghan, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery during the Battle of Guadalcanal in World War II. The ship was designed for anti-submarine warfare and surface action, featuring advanced radar and weaponry for its time.
