The USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31) was an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1944. Named after the famous ship commanded by John Paul Jones, it served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War, playing a crucial role in various military operations. The ship was part of the Essex-class carriers, designed to support air operations with a large flight deck and hangar space.
