USS Alstede (AF-48)
The USS Alstede (AF-48) was a stores ship of the United States Navy, launched on March 15, 1944. It was named after a small town in New Jersey and was primarily tasked with supplying food, equipment, and other essential materials to naval vessels during World War II and beyond.
Commissioned on June 30, 1944, the USS Alstede served in the Pacific Theater, supporting operations by delivering supplies to various ships. After the war, it continued to operate until it was decommissioned in 1970 and later sold for scrapping in 1973.
