USGA
The USGA, or United States Golf Association, is the governing body for golf in the United States. Founded in 1894, it oversees the rules of golf, organizes national championships, and promotes the game at all levels. The USGA is responsible for events like the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women's Open, which are among the most prestigious tournaments in the sport.
In addition to managing competitions, the USGA works to improve the quality of golf courses and the overall experience for players. It conducts research on course conditions, equipment standards, and environmental sustainability, ensuring that golf remains accessible and enjoyable for future generations.
