UIDAI
The UIDAI, or Unique Identification Authority of India, is an agency of the Government of India responsible for implementing the Aadhaar project. Established in 2009, its primary goal is to provide a unique identification number to residents of India, which helps in streamlining various services and benefits.
The Aadhaar number is a 12-digit unique identifier that is linked to an individual's biometric and demographic data. This system aims to enhance transparency, reduce fraud, and improve the delivery of welfare services across the country, making it easier for citizens to access government programs.
