U.S. Navy's {Virginia-class
The U.S. Navy's Virginia-class submarines are a class of nuclear-powered fast attack submarines designed for a variety of missions. They are equipped with advanced technology, including sonar systems and weapons, allowing them to perform anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, and special operations support.
Each Virginia-class submarine is approximately 377 feet long and can carry up to 12 Tomahawk cruise missiles. They are designed for stealth and agility, making them effective in both coastal and deep-water environments. The class is intended to replace the older Los Angeles-class submarines, enhancing the Navy's underwater capabilities.
