U.S. Men's Olympic Ice Hockey Team
The U.S. Men's Olympic Ice Hockey Team represents the United States in international ice hockey competitions, particularly at the Winter Olympics. The team is governed by the USA Hockey organization and has participated in every Olympic tournament since ice hockey was introduced in 1924.
The team has achieved notable success, winning a total of two gold medals, in 1960 and 1980, as well as several silver and bronze medals. The 1980 team is especially famous for its victory over the heavily favored Soviet Union, a match often referred to as the "Miracle on Ice."
