U.S. Customary System
The U.S. Customary System is a system of measurement commonly used in the United States. It includes units such as inches, feet, yards, and miles for length; ounces, pounds, and tons for weight; and gallons, quarts, and pints for volume. This system is based on historical units that have evolved over time.
Unlike the metric system, which is used in most other countries, the U.S. Customary System does not follow a decimal-based structure. This can make conversions between units more complex. Despite this, it remains widely used in everyday life, including in fields like construction and cooking.
