The Imperial System is a system of measurement that originated in the British Empire. It includes units such as inches, feet, yards, and miles for length; pounds and ounces for weight; and gallons and pints for volume. This system is primarily used in the United States and a few other countries.
Unlike the Metric System, which is based on multiples of ten, the Imperial System has various conversion factors that can be less intuitive. For example, there are 12 inches in a foot and 3 feet in a yard. This can make calculations more complex compared to the straightforward nature of the Metric System.
