Typographic Marks
Typographic marks, also known as punctuation marks, are symbols used in writing to clarify meaning and indicate pauses or stops. Common examples include the period (.), comma (,), question mark (?), and exclamation mark (!). These marks help organize text, making it easier for readers to understand the intended message.
In addition to basic punctuation, there are specialized typographic marks like the em dash (—), ellipsis (...), and quotation marks (“ ”). Each of these serves a specific purpose, such as indicating a break in thought or denoting spoken dialogue. Proper use of typographic marks enhances readability and communication in written language.
