Typhoon-Class
The Typhoon-Class is a series of nuclear-powered submarines developed by the former Soviet Union. Designed for strategic deterrence, these submarines can carry up to 20 intercontinental ballistic missiles, making them one of the largest submarines in the world. Their primary role is to serve as a platform for launching nuclear weapons, ensuring a second-strike capability in case of a nuclear attack.
Each Typhoon-Class submarine is equipped with advanced stealth technology, allowing it to operate undetected in hostile waters. The submarines are also designed for long-duration missions, with a crew capacity of around 160 personnel. Their size and capabilities make them a significant component of the Russian Navy's nuclear deterrent force.
