Types of Marriage
There are several types of marriage recognized around the world, including monogamy, where one person is married to one partner, and polygamy, which involves one person having multiple spouses. Within polygamy, there are two main forms: polygyny, where a man has multiple wives, and polyandry, where a woman has multiple husbands.
Another type is group marriage, where multiple people form a single marital unit. Additionally, some cultures practice arranged marriages, where families play a significant role in selecting partners, while others may have love marriages, where individuals choose their partners based on romantic affection.
