Types Of Walls
Walls can be categorized into several types based on their function and construction. Load-bearing walls support the weight of the structure above them, while non-load-bearing walls serve as partitions and do not support any weight. Retaining walls are designed to hold back soil and prevent erosion, often used in landscaping.
Another classification includes interior walls, which divide spaces within a building, and exterior walls, which form the outer shell. Stud walls are framed with vertical wooden or metal studs, while masonry walls are built from bricks or concrete blocks. Each type serves a specific purpose in construction and design.
