Tuscarora Nation
The Tuscarora Nation is a Native American tribe originally from the northeastern United States, particularly in what is now North Carolina. They are part of the larger Iroquois Confederacy, which includes other tribes like the Mohawk and Seneca. The Tuscarora people have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional practices, languages, and social structures.
In the early 18th century, many Tuscarora migrated north to join the Iroquois Confederacy in present-day New York after conflicts with European settlers. Today, the Tuscarora Nation is recognized as a sovereign nation and continues to preserve its cultural identity while engaging in economic development and community initiatives.
