Turtle Social Structure
Turtles generally have a loose social structure. Most species are solitary, coming together primarily for mating or nesting. They may gather in groups in areas with abundant food or suitable basking spots, but these gatherings are often temporary.
Some species, like the green sea turtle, exhibit more social behavior, forming small groups during foraging. Communication among turtles is limited, relying mainly on body language and chemical signals. Overall, their social interactions are not as complex as those seen in many mammals or birds.
