Turnberry Lighthouse
Turnberry Lighthouse is located on the southwestern coast of Scotland, near the village of Turnberry in Ayrshire. Built in 1851, it was designed by the renowned engineer Robert Stevenson. The lighthouse stands at a height of 21 meters and features a distinctive white tower, which is a prominent landmark along the coastline.
The lighthouse was automated in 1995, meaning it no longer requires a keeper to operate. It is situated on a cliff overlooking the Firth of Clyde, providing stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Today, it is a popular spot for tourists and photographers alike.
