Turkmen people
The Turkmen people are a Central Asian ethnic group primarily found in Turkmenistan, where they make up the majority of the population. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes traditional music, dance, and handicrafts, particularly their famous Turkmen carpets.
Historically, the Turkmen have been nomadic, herding livestock such as camels and sheep. Their society is organized into tribes, each with its own customs and traditions. The Turkmen language, a member of the Turkic languages, is the official language of Turkmenistan and is an important aspect of their identity.
