Turkish Railways
Turkish Railways, known as TCDD (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları), is the state-owned railway company in Turkey. Established in 1927, it operates an extensive network of rail services, including high-speed trains, regional services, and freight transport. The railway system connects major cities and regions, facilitating both passenger travel and cargo movement across the country.
In recent years, TCDD has invested in modernizing its infrastructure and expanding high-speed rail lines, such as the Ankara-Istanbul route. This development aims to improve efficiency, reduce travel times, and promote sustainable transportation options within Turkey.
