Turkey Farming
Turkey farming involves raising turkeys for meat production. Farmers typically start with baby turkeys, known as poults, and provide them with a controlled environment, including proper temperature, ventilation, and nutrition. The birds are usually raised in large barns or outdoor pens, where they have space to roam and grow.
The farming process includes feeding the turkeys a balanced diet, monitoring their health, and ensuring they have access to clean water. After several months, the turkeys reach market weight and are processed for sale. Turkey farming plays a significant role in the poultry industry, especially during holidays like Thanksgiving.
