Turia River
The Turia River is a river in eastern Spain, flowing through the city of Valencia. Originally, it was a significant waterway, but after a devastating flood in 1957, the river was diverted. The old riverbed was transformed into a green park known as the Turia Gardens, which stretches for about 9 kilometers.
Today, the Turia Gardens serve as a recreational area for locals and tourists, featuring walking paths, playgrounds, and sports facilities. The park is a vital part of Valencia's urban landscape, promoting outdoor activities and enhancing the city's quality of life.
