Tungus
Tungus refers to a group of indigenous peoples in Siberia, primarily located in the Russian Far East. They are known for their traditional lifestyles, which include reindeer herding, fishing, and hunting. The Tungus people speak languages belonging to the Tungusic family, which is part of the larger Altaic language group.
The term "Tungus" can also refer to the Tunguska event, a massive explosion that occurred in 1908 in Siberia. This event is believed to have been caused by the airburst of a small comet or asteroid, resulting in the destruction of a large forest area. The Tunguska event remains one of the most significant unexplained phenomena in modern science.
