Tuna el-Gebel
Tuna el-Gebel is an ancient archaeological site located in Egypt, near the city of Minya. It was a significant burial ground during the Greco-Roman period and is known for its extensive catacombs and tombs, which were used for the interment of both humans and animals, particularly ibises.
The site features the famous Tomb of Petosiris, a well-preserved burial chamber adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions. Additionally, Tuna el-Gebel is home to a large necropolis that reflects the religious practices of the time, showcasing the importance of the goddess Isis and the worship of Thoth, the god of wisdom.
