Tulku
A Tulku is a recognized reincarnation of a spiritual teacher in Tibetan Buddhism. This concept is rooted in the belief that highly realized beings can choose to be reborn to continue their work in helping others achieve enlightenment. Tulkus are often identified through specific signs, prophecies, or by the previous incarnation's close disciples.
The process of recognizing a Tulku typically involves a search led by senior monks or lamas, who may use various methods, including tests or visions. Once identified, a Tulku undergoes rigorous training to fulfill their spiritual responsibilities, often taking on leadership roles within the Tibetan Buddhist community.
