Tughlaq dynasty
The Tughlaq dynasty was a Muslim dynasty that ruled over the Indian subcontinent during the 14th century. Founded by Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq in 1320, it marked a significant period in the history of the Delhi Sultanate. The dynasty is known for its ambitious architectural projects and attempts to expand its territory, which included parts of modern-day India and Pakistan.
One of the most notable rulers of the Tughlaq dynasty was Muhammad bin Tughlaq, who is remembered for his innovative yet often controversial policies. His reign saw the introduction of new currency and the relocation of the capital from Delhi to Daultabad, which ultimately led to challenges in governance and administration.
