Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq
Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq was the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty in India, ruling from 1320 to 1325. He was known for his military prowess and administrative reforms, which helped consolidate his power in the Delhi Sultanate. His reign marked a significant period in Indian history, characterized by efforts to strengthen the central authority.
During his rule, Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq initiated various construction projects, including the establishment of a new city called Tughlaqabad near Delhi. His reign, however, was cut short when he died in an accident, leading to the ascension of his son, Muhammad bin Tughlaq, who continued his legacy.
