Troy VII
Troy VII is an archaeological site in modern-day Turkey, believed to be the city of Troy during the late Bronze Age, around 1200 BCE. It is considered the most likely candidate for the city described in Homer's epic poems, particularly the Iliad. Excavations reveal a fortified settlement with thick walls, indicating it was a significant urban center.
The site shows evidence of destruction, possibly due to warfare or natural disasters. Artifacts found at Troy VII include pottery, tools, and remnants of buildings, providing insights into the daily life and culture of its inhabitants.
