Trough
A trough is a long, narrow container or channel used to hold or convey liquids, such as water or feed for animals. It is commonly found in farms, where it serves as a feeding station for livestock like cows and pigs. Troughs can be made from various materials, including metal, plastic, or wood, and are designed to be durable and easy to clean.
In a different context, a trough can also refer to a low point in a graph or cycle, such as in economics or weather patterns. For example, in the business cycle, a trough represents the lowest point of economic activity before recovery begins. Similarly, in meteorology, a trough can indicate an area of low pressure that often leads to stormy weather.
