Tropical Zones
Tropical zones are regions of the Earth located near the equator, characterized by warm temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. These areas typically experience little variation in temperature, with average monthly temperatures often exceeding 18°C (64°F). The tropical climate supports diverse ecosystems, including lush rainforests and vibrant coral reefs.
The two main types of tropical climates are tropical rainforest and tropical savanna. Tropical rainforests, found in places like the Amazon and the Congo Basin, receive heavy rainfall and have dense vegetation. In contrast, tropical savannas, such as those in parts of Africa, have distinct wet and dry seasons, supporting grasslands and scattered trees.
