Homonym: Trojan horse (Malware)
The term "Trojan horse" originates from an ancient Greek story about the Trojan War. The Greeks built a large wooden horse and left it outside the city of Troy as a deceptive gift. The Trojans, believing they had won, brought the horse into their city, unaware that Greek soldiers were hidden inside.
At night, the soldiers emerged, opened the city gates for the rest of the Greek army, and attacked Troy. Today, "Trojan horse" is also used in computing to describe a type of malicious software that tricks users into installing it, often disguised as a legitimate program.
